Your Data, Your Fortress.

What we collect
Account details you give us: name, email address, and a password handled by our sign-in provider. Photos you upload, such as a profile photo. Your survey answers and the travel profile built from them. The trips, days, places and notes you create. Your language setting. For places, we store the Google place ID of what you picked, plus its map coordinates for a limited time.
What we don't do
We don't read your device location. We don't run advertising scripts or tracking cookies. We don't sell or rent your personal data.
How we use it
To run your account, personalize your plan, keep the service secure and find and fix errors.
Who helps us
Clerk (sign-in and account security) · Vercel (hosting) · Neon (database and file storage, United States) · Upstash (rate limiting) · Sentry (error and performance monitoring, including page-load timings) · Google (Google sign-in, place search, and AI features — on the plan atlas uses today, Google may use what you send to AI features to improve its products, and people may review it) · OpenFreeMap (map tiles, which receive your IP address when a map loads).
Cookies
Only the cookies atlas needs to work: your sign-in session and your language choice. No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we keep it for 30 days so you can restore it, then permanently delete it. A deleted trip can be restored for 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Delete your account in the app, or email us for anything else. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your data lives
atlas is hosted in the United States. If you use atlas from elsewhere, your data is transferred there under appropriate safeguards.
Age
atlas is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
