  • How do I start a group trip?

    Group trips — invites, voting and cost splitting — are next on our roadmap. Today you start a trip from Home with New trip, and it belongs to you.

  • Is atlas free to use?

    Yes. atlas is free during the beta, and you don't need a card to sign up.

  • How does voting work?

    Voting arrives with group trips: everyone in the trip votes on dates, places and plans, and the top choice wins by a deadline the trip's Admin sets. It is not live yet.

  • Can I use atlas offline?

    Not yet. atlas runs in your phone's browser and needs a connection. An offline Trip Companion is on our roadmap.

  • What is atlas?

    atlas is a travel planner that learns your travel style from a short survey, then helps you build a day-by-day trip with live place search, a timeline, a map and a checklist.

  • How does atlas personalize my trips?

    Your 12 survey answers become a travel profile across 60 facets, such as food, nightlife, nature and pace. You can change your answers any time from Preferences.

  • How do I add places to a day?

    Open your trip, choose a day and use its add button. Search for the place by name and it lands on that day's timeline. Edit mode lets you reorder or remove stops.

  • Why can't I find a place?

    Place search runs on Google Places. Try the name as it appears on Google, or include the city. If Google lists it, atlas can add it.

  • Does atlas track my location?

    No. atlas never reads your device location. Destinations are the places you pick yourself.

  • Which languages does atlas support?

    English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Greek and Italian.

  • Is there a mobile app?

    atlas runs in your phone's browser today. Native apps and an offline Trip Companion are coming.

  • Why was I signed out?

    For your security, a session lasts seven days. Sign in again and everything is where you left it.

  • How can I sign in?

    With your email and a password, or with your Google account.

  • How do I delete my account?

    Go to Profile and choose Delete account. Your data is kept for 30 days so you can restore it, then it is permanently removed.

  • Who can see my trips?

    Only you. atlas doesn't show ads or sell your data.
